Government endorses study assessing the impact of e-commerce on UK business, including supermarkets, and electrical goods retailing. The current group of 26 studies is part of a DTI programme covering a cross-section of the economy, including high tech industries, traditional manufacturing industry, SMEs and services. The programme of sector impact studies was recommended in the report [email protected] by the Cabinet Office Performance and Innovation Unit in September 1999.
