A study conducted on behalf of the DETR has found that regeneration programmes are not learning the lessons from previous initiatives. New programmes are being launched before good practice lessons are gathered from earlier schemes. The research has found that lack of evaluation of programmes is due to insufficient funding. "A Review of the Evidence Base for Regeneration Policy and Practice" is available on the DETR website at: www.regeneration.detr.gov.uk/rs/03900/index.htm
