Changes to foot and mouth livestock movement schemes

In response to veterinary advice, three important changes have been made to livestock movement schemes: the scope of the Longer Distance Movement Scheme has been extended, allowing the movement of male animals for breeding; occupational and local movement licences are now to be issued by Local Veterinary inspectors; the prohibition on moving animals under Longer Distance Movement Licences to premises within 1.0km of common or shared grazing has been lifted.
