A survey for Construction News by Glenigan reveals that planning delays have hit their highest level for more than a year. On average it takes more than 12 months from submitting a planning application, to work starting on site across all construction sectors. These delays are occuring despite a campaign to speed up the planning process. Table shows detail of planning delays by type of development.
