New Zealand's monitor system could provide a blueprint for the future of British agriculture. A study of the monitor farm programme, which was instrumental in improving physical and financial performance of farms through collective learning, after the withdrawal of subsidies, shows that the system may have real benefits for farmers and agriculture in the UK.
