Planning law does not break the rights act - 2001 - Construction News (6718) 31 May 2001, 14(1) .

Refutes the proposition based on the Human Rights Act 1998, that SoS Environment cannot be the appropriate person to decide planning applications and hold the conflicting role of deciding planning policy. Three cases together show that U.K. legislation does not contravene article 6(1) of the European Convention.
