Treasury to review government procurement methods

Treasury to review government procurement methods - 2001 - Building 266(8188) 15 June 2001, 12(1) .

In response to claims that public-sector clients still look for the cheapest tender, the Treasury's Office of Government Commerce is to carry out a review of government procurement methods. In consultation with construction industry bodies, the Treasury will examine contract terms and conditions, industry payment terms, and the now defunct Construction Industry Board's code of practice on the selection of subcontractors.
