A £600,000 project to produce a computerised map of Britain's 10,000km coastline is to be conducted by the Ordnance Survey, the Hydrographic Office and the British Geological Survey. The project will lead to the creation of the Integrated Coastal Zone Mapping (ICZMap). An initial project, covering an area from Shoreham in West Sussex to Lyme Regis in Dorset, is expected to be completed by April 2003.
