"Rees and another v Skerret and another", CA 23 May 2001. Held that the owner of a terraced property who demolished his building and failed to support adequately or weatherproof the common wall between his property and his neighbour was responsible for any instability resulting in the lack of support, including damage caused by wind suction to the neighbouring building. He also owed a duty to his neighbour to take reasonable steps to protect the exposed wall . His breach of this duty made him liable for damages. Appeal allowed.
