Considers the steps property professionals should take to avoid being implicated in money laundering in the light of reports from the National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS) that the proceeds from crime are being 'cleaned' through the UK property market. From October 2001 boardmembers may be held personally liable for any money laundering activity or for failing to report suspicious transactions under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
