The introduction of Home Zones could improve house prices as well as enhancing the quality of urban life and tackling road safety. Home Zones cover residential streets and give priority to walking and cycling over traffic. Local authorities have responded positively to the £30m programme and those not accepted for the pilot intend to set up similar schemes.
