The Countryside Agency has launched its new "Strategy for sustainable land management in England" which highlights multi-functionality, sustainability, integration and subsidiarity as four principles to guide future policy and practice. The strategy also calls for a radical reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and re-engaging farmers with the public.
