Discusses the development, implementation and methodology of the Waste Data Strategy (WDS) by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) which aims to collate data on waste management activities for use in the regulation of waste facilities, the planning of sustainable waste management, the development and monitoring of waste policy, and the development of output measures. The SEPA intends to publish digests of the data collected on its website at http://www.sepa.org.uk.
