Despite current conditions, economic forecasters and senior QSs are warning that the UK construction sector will suffer a slowdown during the next two years. For instance, leading economic forecaster Martin Hewes has revised his predictions for total construction work in 2001 and 2002 from 1% growth in each year to 0.3% growth.
