Twenty-seven local authorities have been given the go-ahead by the Housing Minister to proceed with proposals for the transfer of all or part of their housing stock to registered social landlords. This will mean that during the next two years tenants of over 328,000 council homes will benefit from repairs and improvements to their properties.
