Latest figures indicate a slight fall in housebuilding starts and completions, compared with the same period in 2000. It is estimated that 16,600 dwellings were started in Great Britain in May 2001, compared with 16,700 in May 2000. Similarly, completions were down from 13,500 in 2000, to 12,900. Tables.
