Both Sir Martin Laing, chairman of John Laing and Sir Frank Lampl, president of Bovis Lend Lease, have criticised the construction industry for changing much too slowly, following the recommendations of the Egan and Latham reports. Both were involved in a debate on the challenges facing the industry at the Reading Construction Forum's conference in Oxford.
