UBR regulation changes roundly criticised

UBR regulation changes roundly criticised - 1994 - Estates Gazette (9428) 16 July 1994, 36 Yorkshire Post 28 JULY 1994, 10(2) .

Criticises the government decision to remove the Uniform Business Rate Transition Regulations loophole known as the `N/J` rule, whereby properties subject to phased increases in their rates bill to meet increases in the April 1990 valuation list, and which succeeded in negotiating a reduction in rateable value, had the liability under transition reduced in proportion to the reduction in value.
