A poll by Morgan Stanley has shown that the majority of institutions believe they should be investing in property more, with the correct weighting between 5%-15%; property has also produced the best returns recently. Yet the latest IPD figures show that institutional net investment in property fell to £1bn in the first quarter of 2000, down from £1.9bn in the preceding quarter.
