According to Sam Zell, a high profile property investor, the commercial property sector should survive the US economic downturn. Mr Zell believes that the majority of property investors and developers are less vulnerable than in the late 1980s. He said, 'This is the first time since world war two that we have had an economic peak and real estate isn't in extreme oversupply.'
