Injected cavity fills - the simplest way to comply with new building regulations for walls - 2001 - Building Engineer 76(8) August 2001, 30(1) .

The new Building Regulations, which come into force 2002, will require U-values for walls for energy efficient buildings to be 0.35W/m2K. In order to meet this requirement, the National Cavity Insulation Association (NCIA) suggests that the easiest way is to increase the cavity width to 75mm and to use an injected cavity fill with a standard aerated block on the inner leaf.
