Questions whether the adoption of electronic conveyancing willincrease costs without improving on the present system. Describes the difficulties faced in introducing electronic conveyancing and concludes that there are benefits to be gained especially for the Land Registry. There would need to be far greater security to ensure that only the correct person uses a digital signature before electronic conveyancing can totally replace real-world conveyancing.
