Consultation paper, "Business tenancies legislation in England and Wales", was published in March 2001: the reforms proposed are dramatic but mostly procedural. Most of the proposal are likely to become law although it is uncertain when they will be introduced as it depends on which procedure parliament uses. Article reviews the main proposals and potential problems. Business tenancies that are unaffected are those where a section 25/26 has already been served.
