Government-backed Constructionline's register falls 50% behind its target of 25,000 registered firms, as disenchanted contractors fail to sign up. Latest figures from the Capita Group show 10,000 registered firms and consultants - a figure which still falls short of a revised target of 20,000 issued Autumn 2000. The National Specialist Contractors Council voice concerns that existing Constructionline firms will not continue to register because they are not getting work from it.
