At the first in a series of regional planning seminars, Lord Falconer stressed the importance of developing brownfield sites before greenfield sites to promote sustainable development and good land use. Falconer also announced government commitment to developing a Planning Portal, which will allow appellants and members of the public to track planning appeals online.
