West London County Court 22 May 2001. Examined the issue of whether an estate agent (L) was entitled to a fee from a transaction resulting from information in a cold-calling letter. It was decided that L could not claim any fee as there had been no pre-existing contract between L and Fat Cat Cafe Bars (F) and no contract had been made after the receipt of the letter, although the information contained in the letter led to an offer being made on the property mentioned. L's appeal was dismissed.
