A survey of 500 UK property developers and landlords by CMS Cameron McKenna found that 21% have not yet made preparations to comply with the Disability Discrimation Act Part 3 which comes into force on 1 October 2001. Landlords who fail to facilitate disabled access by making physical alterations to the building or alternative provisions could be open to legal action.
