Lord Falconer launches the "Better places to live, by design" guide, a joint publication by the DTLR and the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE). The guide aims to encourage planners and architects to consider higher standards of housing design to improve local environments. A version of the guide will be made available via the DTLR website at http://www.dtlr.gov.uk.
