Reports on construction activity for Q2 2001. So far the industry has not been affected by the economic slowdown. It has recovered from the floods of Autumn 2000 and has even produced higher output than the same period last year. However output growth was led by repair and maintenance rather than new structures, suggesting that the economy may be having some effect.
