Government has issued new guidance to help social landlords respond to tenants who display anti-social behaviour or refuse rent payments. The guidance advises local authorities how to seek possession and includes new remand and bail provisions for Housing Act injunctions against anti-social behaviour, which come into force on 15 October 2001. "Getting the best out of the Court System (in possession cases)" can be obtained from DTLR Free Literature, tel: 0870 1226 236 and will be available on the DTLR website at http://www.housing.dtlr.gsi.gov.uk.
