HSE planning new asbestos regulation
- 2001
- RICS Building Surveying Faculty News 18 October, (1) .
HSE is planning to introduce a new regulation on managing the risk from asbestos in commercial and domestic premises. The two key issues are: the identification of duty holder and the extension of regulations beyond the workplace. The consultation period on the revised proposals for non-domestic premises is expected to end in January 2002. It is possible that the Regulations would be made by Summer 2002.
