Rents stagnate for first time since 1996

The latest figures from the Insignia Richard Ellis Monthly Index show that rental values stalled in September, for the first time since 1996. The index provides the first evidence that values are being hit by a slowdown in rental growth. Offices proved the worst-hit sector in terms of rental growth. Office rental values fell by 0.3% in September 2001 with the main decline from London offices where rental values fell by 0.4%.
