A recent report by the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), "Building better partnerships" claims that PFI is a flawed process that needs radical rethinking. Presents views from CABE and RIBA who are both lobbying government over PFI, and discusses the design aspects of a number of PFI hospital schemes. Argues that the emphasis on value for money at the core of PFI can go against good design, putting developers before architects.
