Rent reform may stifle regeneration

Rent reform may stifle regeneration - 2001 - Housing Today (257) 25 October 2001, 8(1) .

A new report looking at the current and future role of housing associations as community investors has just been published by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. This reveals that housing associations are increasingly emerging as significant contributors to community development. However, it also notes that as a result of rent restructuring some housing associations will probably have withdrawn from community investment within three years. "After the crossroads: Housing associations as community investors" is available from JRF priced £12.95. Tel: 01904 430 033.
