The Building Cost Information Services' latest Study of Functional Unit Prices for the UK has been published within the latest "BCIS Surveys of Tender Prices". This contains costs for over 200 building types. Functional prices serve as a useful basis for early cost advice, in particular where little detail is known about a proposed scheme except for the number of functional units. The BCIS "Surveys of Tender Prices" is published quarterly. It is available as part of the BCIS Bulletin Service, or individually, priced £84.
