The Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) has published the November 2001 edition of its Average Group Element Prices. This allows the identification of the cost significant elements worth concentrating on during a cost planning or value engineering exercise. It is set out in tabular format giving an indication of the distribution costs for different building types, and acting as a benchmark for estimates or actual costs.
