Lord Falconer reveals that four of his six priorities for the 2003-2006 spending review will focus on improving social housing, addressing affordability in London, tackling homeless households, and dealing with low demand in the north and midlands. However, a Chartered Insitute of Housing report warns that 1.2m homes must be transferred in the next five years to meet the 2010 government target and the Insitute calls for an extra £1.36bn in the spending review.
