UK retailers affected by a fall in tourism following the terrorist attacks in the US are claiming business rate relief from the Valuation Office (VO). Although the locality criteria in the VO guidelines does not allow for the impact of US terrorist attacks on UK businesses, experts believe that the VO will be receptive to geniune cases.
