Sir John Egan, the Rethinking Construction leader argued that the death rate on building sites must fall dramatically from its present rate. The Egan-led Stategic Forum for Construction is planning to agree the terms of a binding statement by June 2002. Other items the group is considering include complaints that the Egan agenda is not reaching thousands of one-off clients for buildings.
