Financial distress for housebuilders - 2001 - Contract Journal 411(6354) 21 November 2001, 9(1) .

A report, "2002 Plimsoll Portfolio Analysis of the top 1,000 house builders", has found that 120 housebuilding firms are in 'serious financial distress'. The report claims that this is due to the cost of employment increasing more than sales. The House Builders Federation however see skill shortages as the main problem area.
