Construction is now seen as a high risk sector after the WTO attacks and consequently faces soaring insurance premiums. However the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE) also blame the drop in skill levels will increase the risk of claims. ACE has announced that a 50% rise in premiums is needed to ensure the survival of its own professional indemnity scheme.
