Payments under the Pneumoconiosis etc (Workers' Compensation) Act 1979 which compensates sufferers of asbestos and some other types of dust related diseases are to be increased in line with inflation. Anyone who may be eligible for payment under the act should contact the DTLR on 0800 279 2322.
