The Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine has unveiled government's response to the Land Registry's Quinquennial Review published in June. Plans to modernise the land and property markets will be undertaken, designed to benefit both homebuyers and businesses by making the market more transparent and simpler to use. The government, with the help of the Land Registry, has decided upon a number of schemes, including extending the Land Register and creating a new independent adjudication service for land registration disputes.
