A new "Code of Guidance on Expert Evidence" for the purpose of court proceedings has been published by the Master of the Rolls. The Working Party's "Code of Guidance on Expert Evidence" aiming to improve communication in cases where the Civil Procedure Rules apply was published on 20 December 2001 by the Master of the Rolls, Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, in his capacity as Head of Civil Justice. The full text of the Code is available on the Expert Witness Institute's (EWI) website at http://www.ewi.org.uk/main/code_of_guidance.htm. Hard copies of the Code are also available, free of charge, from the offices of the EWI.
