DETR circular 01/01 issued on 18 January 2001 offers new rules and guidance relating to notifying applications for planning permissions and listed building consent to English Heritage, CABE and the Amenity Societies. The new circular changes little but it is as well to be aware of where to find the detailed requirements. As in the previous circular 14/97, it deals with all the above matters and these are helpfully summarised in Appendix A of the new circular.
