Objective 5b programme extended - 2002 - DEFRA News Release (311) 20 December 2001, (2) .

The European Commission has announced an extension to the Objective 5b programme in selected areas, which was due to close on 31 December 2001. The move comes as a result of UK requests for an extension to the programme due to the impact of foot and mouth restrictions on projects. Projects already approved can now spend their allocated funds up to 30 June 2002.
