Communities Scotland wielding an annual budget of £400 million by next year takes on the equivalent of England's Housing Corporation and the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit rolled into one. Along with regulation and inspection, investment and performance regeneration is now one of Communities Scotland's three areas of responsibility. Its chief executive Bob Millar is confident that Community Scotland will achieve its goals by a natural process of bringing together diverse agencies and elements of community regeneration.
