Communities Scotland, on behalf of the Scottish Executive, is to carry out the most comprehensive study of Scotland's housing stock to date, to inform future housing policy. Two linked surveys will examine the physical condition of 30,000 homes, and a social survey will examine the quality of life in neighbourhoods. Results to be published mid-2003.
