Ten-year rail strategy set out by the Strategic Rail Authority is criticised by various observers including regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward. Problems include its failure to allocate extra resources to tackle social exclusion caused by a lack of access to transport. Also there is disappointment that London and the south-east would receive 70% of the investment over the next ten years.
