British to bid for Afghan rebuild

World leaders have pledged more than £3bn in aid to rebuild Afghanistan. About 35 British firms ranging from consultants to agricultural specialists have expressed interest in rebuilding the country. The pledged money is based on a preliminary needs assessment prepared jointly by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
